Monochrome Monday - Old Farm Wagon

I took the above photo (click to enlarge) on July 19th at Campbell Valley Regional Park, Langley, BC, where I wandered around the valley floor that led to open pasture and to woodland and creekside meadows. I visited the restored Rowlatt farmstead, complete with old farm machinery and a rebuilt barn. If you'd like to see the slideshow I did on it, click HERE. You will also see this photo in its original colour format.
Monochrome Monday is hosted by aileni at Loose Ends. To join in or to see other participants' photos, click here. It provides an opportunity for you to showcase B&W pictures along with sepia, altered colour images and, of course, old black and white snapshots.

Very nice picture.

The softness conplements the hardness in your image. This is what the focus is for me in the B&W version. I like how it totally hogs the limelight.

This is a great shot. I do the same - adapt previously coloured photos (for now.) There are so many memes for Monday now!
I have posted on two blogs because it was getting a bit crowded!
Odd shot and Monochrome are here, Todays Flowers and Portrait of Words are here

I think that your feelings are... rather black this period.Don't worry, someday somehow they'll turn into white and your memmories won't bring you tears but sweet thoughts of your friend!!! Believe me I KNOW!!!

I am going to enjoy this monochrome meme; there are many beautiful photos, including this one of yours. Your black and white photos have me lingering in the past with many olden days memories.

Hi Leslie, a great idea to have your photographs here!
Loved the shot! Indeed reminded me of the B&W westerns I watched as a child!

That works really well. I like the contrast of the leaves with the wood.

What a great photo! I love the monochrome photo's and when my daughter was married, our photographer who happened to be a close friend of the family did a number of shots of my daughter in black and white. You could see the details of her dress so much better and those were the favorite pictures among many of our friends.

I wish I could afford to take up photography as a hobby. Maybe in a about three years, when my youngest child (son) is finished with his college education. Right now...there's tuition to be paid. Yikes!

Love your blog, btw, I'll add you to my bookmarks on both of my blogs.

I'm stunned by the photographic talent I keep finding on the web. I'm a hideous photographer. I have great admiration for those who can do it well.

Thanks for the kind words over at my place, by the way :-)
